4210 - ASSERT: SubBoards mismatch
Just unpacked a 4210 52-port switch (3CR17334-91) and decided to upgrade it to the latest firmware V3.01.09. I managed to upload OS V3.01.09s56 and Bootrom V4.06. This all went well. But, when I use the built-in web page I get "ASSERT: SubBoards mismatch." and the Device View now displays "3Com Switch 4210 52-Port Software Version 3Com OS V3.01.09s56: Device Unrecognized."
Any ideas? Or should I roll it back to V3.01.05?
Thanks
Mike

Re: 4210 - ASSERT: SubBoards mismatch
the temporary fix is reverting to the older release, I will try what I can do today to provide the needed CLI commands to recover the faulty web files...
with kind regards

Re: 4210 - ASSERT: SubBoards mismatch
I tried 3.1.10 first, then 3.1.9, then 3.1.4 then 3.1.5.
Both tries were 56 bit DES firmwares, and one more other (don't know which version) with 168-bit.
I also upgraded the boot ROM to the latest (4.0.7).
No luck.
I always used the package shipped web interface.
What else can I possibly do to (re)gain access to the web interface?
Unfortunately the flash can not hold two app file, so I had to delete the original one, and I didn't backed it up before the upgrade. (the first two upgrade went fine with 26 port switches)
Thanks in advance,
Atus
