4210 Connecting to a Allied Telesyn Converter

Hi all,



I have a 3Com 4210 9 port that I am trying to connect

to a Allied Telesyn AT-MC101XL via the SFP port with a

3CSFP91. I am using a 3m multimode cable but whatever I

try, the link light won't come on on the 3Com. The link

light for the fibre port on the MC101XL comes on but no

matter what combination of port configurations I try on

the SFP, it just doesn't see it.



Any ideas?

the 3Com SFP I believe is gigabit and I believe the Allied is 100Mb.
