4500-24G and Baseline 2948 dont work over LACP

Hi!

I am from Russia, because of that sorry for my english.)

I am building lan in new office, I have one core switch 3com 4500-24G and many client-switches 3Com Baseline 2948. I want to connect 2948 to 4500 via two ethernet cables, i know that i should to configure LACP port agregation.....but i cant (( Two 2948 works fine over agregation but when i connect 4500 and 2948, they dont see aggregation group (for example "1").And i cant ping another switch from first.

At first I make aggregation group in web access, called "1", choose mode "LACP (dynamic)" then a ichoose two ethernet ports and that is all. In LACP configuration i see theese ports but group name is "N/A"

Can you tell me, what am i doing wrong?

Hi, Pawel.

A few days ago another technician was facing a problem like yours. You could see how to setup the link-aggregation group in 4500G switches in order to work with the Baseline switches in the below link:

Hope it helps.

Re: 4500-24G and Baseline 2948 dont work over LACP

Oh, thanks! I forgot to say you that I upgraded switchs firmware and bootrom. With old firmware LACP fine works in web interface and with new 3com OS I configured link aggregation in CLI.
