4500G problem ring topology.
Sorry my english is very poor.
I have a problem with CX4 modules, in ring topology
I have in my enterprise six switches 4500g, with the next topology:
SWITCH A (1 module with two ports 10G CX4 an 1 module 10G XFP)
SWITCH B (1 module with two ports 10G CX4 an 1 module 10G XFP)
SWITCH C (1 module with two ports 10G CX4)
SWITCH D (1 module with two ports 10G CX4)
SWITCH E (1 module with two ports 10G CX4 an 1 module 10G XFP)
SWITCH F (1 module with two ports 10G CX4 an 1 module 10G XFP)
I want join switch A, B, C, D in topology ring with CX4 ports (A->B->C->D-A)
The switch A is conected with SWITCH E with 10G XFP module.
The switch B is conected with SWITCH F witch 10G XFP module, and E an F with CX4 module.
I can not close de ring A-B-C-D-A, disconecting CX4 cable between switches B-C all is correctly,
but when i connected this cable, i lose packets with my servers and the network is very slow.
I have activated MSTP, and the switches are not in stack mode are all standalone.
It's posible this topology with MSTP o is necesary other tecnology how RRPP.
Thanks
Toni Rueda
