I just install new HP A5500-24G-SFP EI Switch to replace old 3 com switch -
Switch 5500G-EI SFP 24 Port ( 24Port SFP Slot)
Configuration in 2 Vlan - So far running but in log file new switch, we have a lot off warning :
26:44:446 2014 HP5500 ARP/4/RATELIMIT: The ARP packet rate(60pps) exceeded the rate limit(50pps) on interface GigabitEthernet1/0/5 in the last 60 seconds.
%Jan 6 11:29:44:249 2014 HP5500 ARP/4/RATELIMIT: The ARP packet rate(60pps) exceeded the rate limit(50pps) on interface GigabitEthernet1/0/5 in the last 60 seconds.
%Jan 6 11:31:44:451 2014 HP5500 ARP/4/RATELIMIT: The ARP packet rate(64pps) exceeded the rate limit(50pps)
For your information, all LAN client IP address we are set as static IP dont and dont we have DHCP server..

Re: ARP Flooding in HP A5500-24G-SFP EI Switch with 2 Interface
We've been having a discussion about this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Comware-Based/The-ARP-packet-rate-89pps-exceeded-the-rate-limit-50pps-on/td-p/6232585
Not much progress to report, though - see my recent update.
