Accessing A5500 from ssh and web after chaning default vlan
Recently started moving all switch management off vlan 1. Created a Vlan84 and gave it and IP of 192.168.84.7 and gave the Procurve on the other end 192.168.84.6.
I can SSH into the procurve from my desk but not the A5500
I can how ever connect to the procurve from my desk on it's iP of 192.168.84.6 then ssh to the A5500 on ip 84.7
So from my desk 192.168.33.x -->> 192.168.84.6 --> 192.168.84.7
I cant access the A5500 anymore from my desk cant ping the IP either
I have the trunk/ tag allowing all vlans including the 84 vlan traffic to pass between the two switches and that works so I'm missing something.
I have the same default route on each switch.

Re: Accessing A5500 from ssh and web after chaning default vlan
What is the default route on each of these switches?
What is the default route on your PC?

Re: Accessing A5500 from ssh and web after chaning default vlan
hi
Sounds a lot like a gateway problem.
What is the gateway on vlan 84?
and what does
display ip routing-table
show on the 5500 ?
regards

Re: Accessing A5500 from ssh and web after chaning default vlan
Did you allow all vlans on the link before or after you created the new management vlan on the 5500?
Try again the port trunk per vlan all command on the 5500's uplink interface.
I've had a similar problem in my lab some time ago.
