Adding a second IP in the same subnet to a vlan.

I am migrating a lot of our legacy networking to our 5700FF cores.

Unfortunatly there are multiple old 5400's that have Vlan interfaces with IP's that may or may not be being used as Default gateways for devices on the subnets.

What I need to do is move these IP's onto the 5700, but I can't fathom how or if it is even possibel to have two IP's in the same subnet on one switch???

Any Ideas?

I do not know if I understand your question, but to set up a second IP on the VLAN interface you must enter the following command:

ip address 10.10.10.10 24 sub

Can it be in the same subnet though?

I can confirm this works and indeed I can have at least 2 "SUB" IP addresses.

Thanks
