Baseline 2924 firmware upgrade
Does know anythink about Firmware upgrade on the above switch.
Yesterday I tried to upgrade the firmware using Hyper Terminal - I check contections to the switch and using command line "Upgrade BRS01_00_07 bootcode"
I started to load the file but each time it timedout with a message that upgrade had failed!
Help!

Re: Baseline 2924 firmware upgrade
You can upgrade Baseline switches firmware through web console. System administration tab.

Re: Baseline 2924 firmware upgrade
Thanks
The manual (page165) "Note: The bootcode can only be upgraded using the Command Line Interface (CLI)"
I am now totally confused!
I downloaded BRS01_00_07.bin from 3Com, is the software image the file I downloaded or I am missing the point?
Help me out

Re: Baseline 2924 firmware upgrade
The bootcode is the bootrom software; the .bin file is the operational system. You can upgrade the bootcode from console, but the .bin only through web console.

Re: Baseline 2924 firmware upgrade
Buddy, the TFTP Server IP address is the IP address of your notebook, where the TFTP Server software needs to be installed. You can download a great and free TFTP software on this URL:
http://rapidshare.com/files/316174622/tftp_desktop_free.exe.html
The filename is the switch software.
