Bridge-Aggregation between hp 5700 and dell 3048
hello
I want to set a bagg between the 2 switches
The challenge: The link is over a network of fiber optic providers ( wdm network )
I don't always see the link fall down at the level of port in the switch
best regard

Re: Bridge-Aggregation between hp 5700 and dell 3048
Hi, it looks like you already did a LAG setup between those switches...but the way you did caused you some issues, issues you're trying to overcome.
The point is that you're forcing a deployment in the wrong way...violating typical requirements valid for LAG setup:
Each physical link's port (on bot ends) that will become a member of a Link Aggregation Group must (along with other member links):
- be in full duplex mode
- use the same data transmission rates
- use point-to-point connections AKA no Switch or other devices in between peers
- be co-terminus (it starts on a Switch and it shall end on the very same peer one, physical or logical)
So you're basically violating the point 3 so your LAG will have unpredictable behaviour (exactly as you are experiencing right now).

Forgot to add a good HPE KB resource: HPE Switch Software Products - Link Aggregation Overview (Article Number mmr_sf-EN_US000005143)
