CDP or LLDP

Hi,

We have two models of 3COM switches ( 3C17400 and 3CR17402-91), it seems , that they dont support CDP or LLDP protocol, what we need please to advise if there is any software upgrade need to be done in order for the mentioned above switches support these protocols.
