CFGMAN/5/CFGMAN_CFGCHANGED help
Hi,
We have deployed HPE comeware 5130's and have started to get the following error messages filling up our logs on the swicthes:
CFGMAN/5/CFGMAN_CFGCHANGED: -EventIndex=6058-CommandSource=snmp-ConfigSource=startup-ConfigDestination=running; Configuration is changed.
This doesn't appear to be happening on all of our switches, the vast majority report and fill the logs of it but a few do not have these alerts at all.
We have deployed IMC to manage the switches. Is this an alert being triggered on the switch because of a trap configured on IMC that needs investigating. Or is this an alert due to switch config.
Just would like some light shed on what the actual error is informing us about.
Regards
Mitcheb

Re: CFGMAN/5/CFGMAN_CFGCHANGED help
Hello!
It is not an error log, but an information one. Look at the attached image.
Is IMC configured to deploy some action?

Re: CFGMAN/5/CFGMAN_CFGCHANGED help
Thanks for the help! The image was very helpful in understanding why these notifications were occuring.
Yes we were messing with IMC in order to trigger an alarm when a configuration has changed. (But we were hoping this would only occur when someone hits a save force on the switch, so we may of incorrectly set that alarm)
Is there a way of getting rid of, or supressing the notifications we are seeing in the swicthes logs in order to deal with the more important information that could be missed?

Re: CFGMAN/5/CFGMAN_CFGCHANGED help
Hi,
What is it I should be looking for in info-centre settings on the swicthes?
I don't see aything in there relating to config change?
We have; console, monitor, log host, log buffer and log file enabled and have disabled securoty log file. Can't find a mention of config change?
