Cable Question
I have a cable issue. Can I have a HP X242 HP SFP + cables (eg J9285B) do an A series Switch (10Gbe). I want to connect A Series (5820) E-Series switches with different switches. It would be nice if it would go through a DAC cable.

Re: Cable Question
You can use the ProCurve DACs with the Comware (A Series) switches, I do it all the time. ProCurve switches will only work with ProCurve DACs and optics though, so you cannot use an A Series DAC to connect to a ProCurve switch.
Note that you will get an error on the comware console saying the cable is not H3C, and is therefore not covered by the H3C warranty - but it works just the same.
