Cisco 7940 Phones
I have a #com 4500G PWR 50 port switch and when I plug in my Cisco 7940 IP phones they get no power. I have tried different 7940 phone with no luck. I plugged in a polycom phone and got power. Any ideas as to what I need to do to correct this would be appreciated.

Re: Cisco 7940 Phones
Hi,
Use the "poe legacy enable" command to enable the PD compatibility detection function. This is due to Cisco nonstandard PoE capability in their phones.
best regards
