We had one of our 3780's meltdown. Now, we would like to purchase a new 48 port switch to replace that one. What models are able to be stacked with a 3780?

Also, has anyone run into any issues with using longer stacking cables, i.e. 3, 6 ft.

Re: Compatible

Hi.

There is no one switch that could be used in a 3870 stack. The switches that canbe stacked are:

- 4500 (Fast Ethernet models)

- 5500 and 5500G-EI

- 4800G

The 4210, 4200G and 4500G can be stacked in a clustered way. All these models can be stacked among the same models (5500 stacked with 5500, 4500 with 4500, and so on).

Regards
