Comware - Voice VLAN config - Both sides of connection

We are using in our network Comware switches.  It is 5120 and 5130.

We are testning new possibilities with Voice VLAN.

This is ours test config for Users port side:

voice vlan aging 30
voice vlan mac-address 0080-9f00-0000 mask ffff-ff00-0000 description Alcatel phone
voice vlan mac-address 487a-5500-0000 mask ffff-ff00-0000 description Alcatel phone

vlan 10
des voip

vlan450
des DATA1

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
description NEW-CONF
port link-type hybrid
undo port hybrid vlan 1
port hybrid vlan 450 untagged
port hybrid pvid vlan 450
voice vlan qos trust
voice vlan 10 enable

*(for 5120 it is voice vlan for 5130 it it voice-vlan)

So everything looks good. Packets are got QoS.

dis voice vlan state
Maximum of Voice VLANs: 8
Current Voice VLANs: 1
Voice VLAN security mode: Security
Voice VLAN aging time: 30 minutes
Voice VLAN enabled port and its mode:
PORT VLAN MODE COS DSCP
--------------------------------------------------------------------
GigabitEthernet3/0/27 10 AUTO - -

Now is my question. If we implement new config to te all edge switches against all VoIP phones, BUT we do not implement this config to the VoIP cards PORTS. Could we have some problems? Must the config be on the both sides of connection? Or at first can be only VoiP telephones ready and then when all 700 VoIP telephones are in Voip VLAN we can implement it to the VOIP cards?

Thank you.

Hi,

I believe there qould be no QOS if not applying the config, as this is a test bed then can you give a try.

Thanks!
