DHCP Allocation Messages being displayed on 5500 switches
Hi,
I have configured a HP A-series switch which also acts as a DHCP sever for one of the internal subnets and it works. I am seeing the following DHCP allocation messages being continuously displayed when accessing the console on a HP5500 series switch:
%May 4 14:17:29:100 2000 HP-5500IRF-CORESW DHCPSD/5/DHCPS_ALLOCATE_IP: DHCP server information: Server IP = 10.100.100.1, DHCP client IP = 10.100.100.36, DHCP client hardware address = 0021-a02e-1c22, DHCP client lease = 691200.
%May 4 14:17:32:856 2000 HP-5500IRF-CORESW DHCPSD/5/DHCPS_ALLOCATE_IP: DHCP server information: Server IP = 10.100.100.1, DHCP client IP = 10.100.100.173, DHCP client hardware address = 0023-0433-3ffe, DHCP client lease = 691200.
%May 4 14:17:33:427 2000 HP-5500IRF-CORESW DHCPSD/5/DHCPS_ALLOCATE_IP: DHCP server information: Server IP = 10.100.100.1, DHCP client IP = 10.100.100.148, DHCP client hardware address = 0026-cb3c-42fe, DHCP client lease = 691200.
%May 4 14:17:33:717 2000 HP-5500IRF-CORESW DHCPSD/5/DHCPS_ALLOCATE_IP: DHCP server information: Server IP = 10.100.100.1, DHCP client IP = 10.100.100.139, DHCP client hardware address = 0023-5e18-c7fb, DHCP client lease = 691200.
%May 4 14:17:36:832 2000 HP-5500IRF-CORESW DHCPSD/5/DHCPS_ALLOCATE_IP: DHCP server information: Server IP = 10.100.100.1, DHCP client IP = 10.100.100.173, DHCP client hardware address = 0023-0433-3ffe, DHCP client lease = 691200.
%May 4 14:17:37:123 2000 HP-5500IRF-CORESW DHCPSD/5/DHCPS_ALLOCATE_IP: DHCP server information: Server IP = 10.100.100.1, DHCP client IP = 10.100.100.36, DHCP client hardware address = 0021-a02e-1c22, DHCP client lease = 691200.
Could anyone tell me how to stop these messages from being displayed?I see these messages only when I have a switch console access, but when I do a telnet to the same switch, none of these messages appear.

Re: DHCP Allocation Messages being displayed on 5500 switches
This is from Comware v5 devices so your milage may vary (if you use Comware v7), but with v5 there are basically two settings:
This one doesnt seem to be saved in the config:
<R1>undo terminal ?
debugging Send debug information to terminal
logging Send log information to terminal
monitor Send information output to current terminal
trapping Send trap information to terminal
While this one gets saved to the config (the below is what I currently use).
info-center source default channel 0 log state off trap state off
info-center source default channel 1 log state off trap state off
info-center source default channel 2 trap level informational debug level informational
info-center source default channel 4 trap level informational debug level informational
info-center loghost source LoopBack0
info-center loghost <REMOVED>
info-center logbuffer size 1024
info-center trapbuffer size 1024
info-center synchronous
info-center timestamp loghost iso
undo info-center logfile enable
