Re: Does anybody know how to dual stack 3 com 3CR17161-91 ? ? ? do i need XRN stacking cable ?
AFAIK XRN support (virtual switch through Stacking Modules and Stacking Cables) is available on 3Com 5500 EI switch series ( 3CR17161-91 = 3Com 5500 EI 28 ports)...so it's a matter to properly configure XRN Fabric using SFP ports (e.g. on unit 1 use port 1/25 and on unit 2 use port 2/26). Apart from SFP Transceivers (1Gbps) and optic patch cables between units no other dedicated Hardware is necessary.
