E5500 - 03-03-02s168ep21.app - Checksum is different from unit1's
Hi,
Has anyone come across this in the latest code, after applying to a stack and saving, whilst the save appears to update the config file there is a message:
-Unit2's checksum is different from unit1's. This is also for any other units in the stack.
I notice that in release notes it appears this used to happen in an older version of the code, but was fixed back then - LSOD08674.
Anyone know how to resolve this checksum error?
Thanks!

Re: E5500 - 03-03-02s168ep21.app - Checksum is different from unit1's
You will have different configuration on the switches. Perform a diff of the saved configurations from each unit and it should quickly become apparent where it's broken.

Re: E5500 - 03-03-02s168ep21.app - Checksum is different from unit1's
It has to do with the new cipher algorithm, it's a little buggy.
Just look at your configuration and copy & repaste all lines that you have with "cipher" keyword.
For example:
Current config: "
user-interface aux 0 7
authentication-mode password
set authentication password cipher $c$3$XPTOXCPTCPTOXCPTO==
"
just go to:
[4500]user-interface aux 0 7
[4500-ui-aux0-7]set authentication password cipher $c$3$XPTOXCPTCPTOXCPTO==
and then save

Code 3.3.2p22 is now available and should contain the fix "cipher" issue when saving configurations in stack

Re: E5500 - 03-03-02s168ep21.app - Checksum is different from unit1's
I've upgraded with the new firmware (3.03.02s168p22) & have the problem with 3 of the 4 switches in the stack having a different checksum to unit1. I have recopied the .app file on all units to overwrite the originals & while the same file has worked without error on 4 other stacks, I have a problem on my main stack.
Any advice would be hepfull.
