HP 5130 series switch JG936A connectivity
I have a 5130 switch. As of right now I only have VLAN 1 on it. I gave the switch an ip of 192.168.1.5. I set up an irf with 3 other 5130 switches. I plug my laptop in with a static address of 192.168.1.10 and can ping the switch.
I plugged the 5130 into a 5406r (J9850A) That switch has an ip of 192.168.1.20. I can also ping that switch while plugged into the 5130.
When I plug the 5406R into the switch that talks to the firewall I can no longer ping the 5406R. I also plugged the switch with the firewall directly into the 5130 but cannot ping the firewall. I am showing connectivity and the 2510G (contains the firewall uplink) is also on a flat network VLAN 1.
The firewall is on 192.168.1.1. I can ping the rest of the LAN until the firewall is added. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: HP 5130 series switch JG936A connectivity
I forgot to mention. If I am plugged into the 5406 with my laptop and the 2510G is plugged into the 5406r, I can ping the firewall. It is only when I involve the 5130 that it drops.

Re: HP 5130 series switch JG936A connectivity
A basic network diagaram would be of help.
Check if there is any loop when you connect/rearrange your Switches or, eventually, any IP Address conflict.

Re: HP 5130 series switch JG936A connectivity
Switch configs would help.
The log from 5406 showing all events when you patch in the 2510 would help.
Status of the switchports connecting the 5406 and 5130 would help.
