HP 5130 syslog "PSE_PORT_ON_OFF_CHANGE"
Good morning/afternoon,
we have 2 IRF stacks of 9 x HP5130 48 PoE+ SPF+ with Cisco phones scattered accross them.
"Randomly" I see syslog entries from one or more ports stating:
%%10POE/1/PSE_PORT_ON_OFF_CHANGE: -Slot=2; Trap <pethPsePortOnOffNotification>: PSE 7, IfIndex 109, Detection Status 1.
Followed quickly by:
%%10POE/1/PSE_PORT_ON_OFF_CHANGE: -Slot=2; Trap <pethPsePortOnOffNotification>: PSE 7, IfIndex 109, Detection Status 3.
As these are raised as "alert" level syslog entries I would like to get clarrification as to what they mean and should I be concerned?
Thank you,
Andy.

Re: HP 5130 syslog "PSE_PORT_ON_OFF_CHANGE"
I am seeing the same issue except my phones are Mitel. I have the latest firmware on the switch and now these phones are no longer responding (before and after newest firmware).

I have exactly the same but on 1920 switches with Splicecom phones.
