Dear,

We need to establish a 100M fibertopic connection with industrial device. For the link we bought a SFP model J9054C. which should be compatible with the switch but in de log we get the message: "This is not a supported transceiver for this platform. HPE does not guarantee the normal operation...".
Any Ideas how to solve this?

Is it a HPE transceiver ?

Your Switch serie (which is Comware based) shouldn't use that transceiver model J9054C (HPE X111 100M SFP LC FX Transceiver) - that is correctly recognized as "unsupported" by your unit - because it is really supported only on HPE Aruba Switch series (which are actually ArubaOS-Switch based): you should instead use the JD102B (HP X115 100M SFP LC FX Transceiver) or JF833A (HP X114 100M SFP LC FX Transceiver) both with Central Wavelength of 1310 nm operating with Multi-Mode Fiber (50/125 um or 62.5/125 um) up to 2 km.

To be exact, the latest HPE FlexNetwork 5500 HI Switch Series' QuickSpecs (here) reports only the JD102B as a supported 100M SFP LC FX Transceiver. No reference about JF833A...so go with a genuine HPE JD102B.

As you can see from the screenshot below (part of the HPE Networking Product Portfolio of July 2016):the J9054C is used on Aruba Switch series only.
