HP 5500-HI - Voip config issues
Hi,
I just installed the 5500-HI Poe+ Switch connected to a 5500-HI without PoE in IRF. Everything is working fine, the Workstations work as expected and do not loose the connection.
The VOIP-Phones instead randomly loose their connection and the VOIP phone reboots. I don't know why and tried to disable every automatism that can influence the behavior but with no luck. All ports are configured in the same way, here what I configured exactly:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/23
port link-mode bridge
description VoIP-PoE-Phone-Port
port access vlan 163
undo voice vlan mode auto
voice vlan 163 enable
speed 100
duplex full
broadcast-suppression pps 3000
undo jumboframe enable
poe priority critical
apply poe-profile index 1
stp edged-port enable
lldp compliance admin-status cdp txrx
And here some logbuffer output:

I also set the following:
voice vlan mac-address 0002-3e00-0000 mask ffff-ff00-0000
undo voice vlan security enable
I don't know why it does not work....do you have some idea what I am missing or what I set up wrong?
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Jürgen

Re: HP 5500-HI - Voip config issues
Do a display poe interface power and a display poe-profile.
Also, bad stack cables can cause weird power issues - swap them and check they have no bent pins and are properly seated.

Re: HP 5500-HI - Voip config issues
Hi,
In that case assign the poe max-power manually based on the requirement of the device and also assign the speed into 100 mbps. It works....
dis poe int:
GE1/0/22 Enabled Low 1.7 On 0 Delivering Power
GE1/0/28 Enabled Low 2.0 On 0 Delivering Power
Port config
#
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/22
port link-type hybrid
undo port hybrid vlan 1
port hybrid vlan 124 untagged
port hybrid pvid vlan 124
voice-vlan 24 enable
stp edged-port
poe enable
poe max-power 6700
#
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/28
