HPE - HI Series non support 10Mbps Half Duplex

Hello,

HI Series of HPE Switches for example 5510-HI not supporting 10Mbps half duplex, is it same for all HI switches?

Or only 5500 Series has this issue?

Hello!

This limitation is specific for the chipset 5510-HI uses and is not connected to the 'HI' model line. There are other switches, like from FlexFabric product line (Data Center) that do not support 10 Mbps, but they do not have 'HI' in the product name.

If we speak about 'HI' switches though, keep in mind the following restriction:

This is a chip set limitation on the broadcom phy chip used in the 5510HI and 5130HI switch family.

Workaround: You need to use one of the following switches if you need to run at 10 Mbps at Half-Duplex:

5500EI
5500SI
5120EI
5120SI
HP 1950
HP 1920
HP 1910
HP 5130EI
HP 5500HI
HP 1620
