Hi to all,
first of all, i'm a newbie.
I have this problem and i'm not sure which is the best solution: i have a 5130 EI switch in my HQ with STP enabled, and i have a remote office connected via Wireless link and an 2930F aruba switch with STP enabled.
We have choosed MSTP config.
So, I have only ONE port that link my HQ site to remote site, and is automatically set by 5130 as stp root port.
i realized that, when the wireless link fail, my entire HQ network flap and temporary go down because the 5130 observe a topology change.
Our actual present topology has no redundant links for this remote site and wireless link go down one or two times at month.
I'm not sure if i can disable stp on a single port (and i think not) so.. how i can prevent the 5130 to calcolate stp topology on that port (and fail the entire network)?
I hope I have been clear enough...
Thanks in advance to all.

Re: Help with 5130 EI STP link versus another switch in another site
Hi Francesco,
To overcome the problem you can make HQ 5130 Switch as Root Bridge. After which only link which flaps will recaluclate STP
Its not recommended to disbale STP. as it helps in overcoming any loops which may occure deu to some config or physical connectivity.
To make switch as Root Bridge you can reduce priorty of switch.
Thanks

Re: Help with 5130 EI STP link versus another switch in another site
Thanks Giri12,
i have tried your solution and it works!
Now on this port the "bpdu-drop any" works like a charm and network is stable even when radio bridge fail.
Thanks again!
