Can IRF Fabric be confiugred between A5830-48 and A5830-96 series switches? I don't have 96 port switch in the lab to test it out. I don't see why not, but A5830 manuals says no and it doesn't make any sense.
Thanks

SolutionThe switches in an IRF fabric must be the same model. For example, an A5830AF-48G and an
A5830AF-96G cannot form an IRF fabric.
I created my IRF with a 5820-24XG and two 5800-48G-POE using DAC cables. You can have up to 9 switches in this configuration. You could do a 5820-24XG and three 5800-48G-POE (JC104A) switches. JC104A come with POE ports and 4 x 10 Gbps SFP+ ports. 5820-24XG have 24 x 10 Gbps ports.
