Hi,
I've a problem with irf configuration between 5 switches. The log below is displayed in master switch:
%Dec 1 13:02:26:671 2016 H3C STM/2/STM_LINK_TIMEOUT: IRF port 2 went down because the heartbeat timed out.
%Dec 1 13:02:26:671 2016 H3C STM/3/STM_LINK_DOWN: IRF port 2 went down.
%Dec 1 13:02:27:679 2016 H3C STM/6/STM_LINK_UP: IRF port 2 came up.
%Dec 1 13:02:48:011 2016 H3C STM/2/STM_LINK_TIMEOUT: IRF port 2 went down because the heartbeat timed out.
%Dec 1 13:02:48:012 2016 H3C STM/3/STM_LINK_DOWN: IRF port 2 went down.

When shutdown a physical interface in switch 4 or 5 the configuration is stabilished, however without redundancy.
I did the configuration in other topology with only 4 switches and correctly work.
Note: I'm using H3C Cloud Lab, switch S5820V2

SolutionHello
Normally when your IRF config is the same on all switches, it should not be a problem to stack them. make sure to cross the cables.(irfport 1 from member 1 to irfport 2 from member 2 etc..)
Also dont forget to use the command irf-configuration active on all switches.
I also used h3c labs, and i think it is not the best tool to test IRF stacks.
Kind regards
