IRF combinations
Hey guys,
Is there a list anywhere that specifies which switches work with other switches in an IRF fabric?
We are currently looking at upgrading some of our devices in our DC and we wanted to maybe mix 5900 / 5820s / 5800AFs (although I know there are different flavours of each, ). It would be good to see a full list of which devices work and which don't and the implications of each.
Cheers,
Graham

Re: IRF combinations
The basic rule is like for like. So 5900 with 5900; 10500 with 10500, etc. The only exception is the 5800 with 5820.
Also see http://www.hp.com/networking/configurator/ where you can build the exact configs you want. It also has this rules table.
