L3 capability within VPLS?
It is possible within a Comware 7 environment to host a L3 gateway within a Kompella L2 VPLS network?
I have tried to make this work with a "vsi-interface" and "gateway" command (using GNS3 & H3C tools). Even though VPLS works fine, the IP address of the VSI-interface is only accessible by hosts attached to the vsi on the same switch.
If anyone knows that this should work (or not) then please comment.
Regards,
Pete

Re: L3 capability within VPLS?
It would help to see a topology, but assuming your network is trunking both VLANs to the PE switch (where the labelling is applied) then it is on the PE switch interface facing your switch that a service-instance has to be configured for each VLAN.
