LLDP/5/LLDP_PVID_INCONSISTENT: PVID mismatch discovered

Hi

Im having an issue when my HP 5130 switch connected to an Aruba AP (Controller Based AP).

The switch keep giving me below message:

LLDP/5/LLDP_PVID_INCONSISTENT: PVID mismatch discovered on GigabitEthernet1/0/1 (PVID 998), with 94:b4:0f:cc:c3:98 94b4-0fcc-c398 (PVID 0).

I've tried both configuration on the port (Access & Trunk Port) both config give me the same message.

When I disable the LLDP GLOBAL configuration, the mesage disappeared.

Is this something to do at switch or wireless controller?

Regards

Michael

Michael,

we get the same messages on our HP switches using Aruba access points. There is nothing wrong, and the access points will work just fine. Your Aruba AP group has probably just been configured with the default VLAN instead of VLAN 998 that your switch uses. Check on your WLAN controller under Configuration -> AP Configuration -> AP Group -> AP -> Wired AP -> Advanced.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. The default VLAN have been configured to vlan 998, but the message still coming out. Instead, I solved it by untick at the option AP LLDP profile -> advanced -> 802.1 TLVs
