I currently have a network with Arubas 2920 (J9728A) and I want to take the backbone
of the network to 10G by single-mode optical fiber at distances of around 600mts,
I have intentions to acquire for a flexfabrix 5900cp (jg838A) but I do not find
compatibility of the SFP+ , Nor even using the module (j9731a) in the Aruba.
Is there a way to link these 2 switches at 10G ????
From already thank you very much.
Silvio.

SolutionYou should be able to create a 10G uplink (or aggregating up to four 10G uplinks together if using, Aruba 2920 side, up to four SFP+ 10G Transceivers installed on up to two Aruba 2920 2-port 10GbE SFP+ Modules) between an HPE FlexFabric 5900CP (datasheet) and an Aruba 2920 if your Aruba 2920 has:
- at least one Aruba 2920 2-port 10GbE SFP+ Module (J9731A) <-- installed on a free Switch's back slot.
- at least one HPE X132 10G SFP+ LC LR Transceiver (J9151A) <-- installed on the Module above, for use with 9/125um (Core/Cladding) Single Mode Fiber Optic Cable (note that LR = Long Range/Reach means a range of up to 10km).
On HPE FlexFabric 5900CP (QuickSpecs) side just an HPE X130 10G SFP+ LC LR Transceiver (JD094B) should suffice.

Re: Link Aruba 2920 with FlexFabric 5900 at 10G FO SM
Parnasus, really many thanks, his response was conditional on the design
of the network and the purchase decision.
Soon I will consult them to reconcile other older models of Switches to 10Gb
with the Flexfabric5900CP.

Re: Link Aruba 2920 with FlexFabric 5900 at 10G FO SM
I want to specify that there isn't - at least I'm not aware of anything similar to - a Comware/ArubaOS-Switch based Switches' Transceivers compatibility guide/matrix...and there isn't simply because it is supposed that, once supported, genuine and compatible (due to Fiber Optic cable specific requirements) SFP/SFP+ HPE Transceivers are adopted on both ends, it is simply a matter of correctly configuring physical (and logical, if LAGs or Port Trunking is deployed) Port(s) used for uplinking those two HPE platforms (HPE Comware on one end, HPE Aruba on the other).
