Logging in console 4210
Hi,
I would like to assign an IP address to the switch, and following the guide I tried to log me on the console.
I used the XP hyper terminal program, but everytime I switched on the 4210, I just got strange characters on the screen and no possibilities to access to any menus.
Can u please help me or tell me another way to assign the IP?
Thank u.

Re: Logging in console 4210
You need to setup the HT connection as the following parameters:
- Speed 19200
- Bits: 8
Flow control: None

Re: Logging in console 4210
I used the settings of the guide 3Com_Switch4210_Configuration_Guide.pdf, which say speed= 9600.
So is this wrong?
should I use 19200?
8 bits
none
1
none
?
Thank you
