Networkjack nj2000 PoE Problem
Hi,
I have a strange issue with nj2000 Networkjacks.
These are my Devices:
- several 3COM nj2000
- several 3COM nj105
- Switch stack - Alcatel Omniswitch 6850, 48Port PoE
- ALLNET All8084, 8Port (4Port PoE)
- 3COM 5500 48Port PoE
Omniswitch:
- PoE SW Version 00.0505.05
- Uboot Version: 6.1.3.601
- Power budget per unit: 230W
The destination is to connect more than one nj2000 to the same unit in the stack and provide them with PoE.
Tests i made:
- Connecting the first nj2000 to a unit in the stack, everything works well. Connecting the second one to the same unit, it doesn't come up (power budget ist remaining enough ).
- Connecting several nj105 to the same unit in the stack, everything works well, too.
- Connecting an nj2000 to the ALLNET office switch, he doesn't come up, but the ALLNETs PoE-Light is on.
- nj105 <-> Allnet switch => everything works well.
- several nj2000 <-> 5500er Switch works well, too.
So, all devices promise to support IEEE 802.3af, but there must be a difference between the nj105 and nj2000.
How could I get rid of the problem?
If you need additional informations, i will post them.
Thanks in advance,
Christoph
