Re: Problem - HP A7510 with IRF
Configuration IRF is very easy but the problem is firmware , I did upgrade and I got other error.
I contact HP support and they will be doing lab to identify the problem....

Re: Problem - HP A7510 with IRF
IRF on A7500 with unit number 2 doesn't work use unit 3 : irf member 1 renumber 3
moreover the swith must be in irf mode (command chassis convert mode irf)

Re: Problem - HP A7510 with IRF
Who is writting this reply ?
I configured it but the configuration guide said other thing ( member 1 and member 2 , not memebr 3 ) . I fixed myself .If you are working with HP , 3COM, H3C I have question for you.
Where is the member 2 ?
In the configuration of both switches with IRF is showing chassis 1 and chassis 3 . where is chassis 2 ? H3C ( HP must fixed that issue with firmware )

Re: Problem - HP A7510 with IRF
Hi
as per my understating it gives that error massage because the 2nd switch was not 1 it numbers as another number so u have to check the irfmember number of the 2nd switch after that u need to issue a command
irf member "X" renumber 2
where the X is the member number of the 2nd switch.
if there are 3 switches need to be IRF the master will 1 and the other two swiches will 2 and 3 by default it mark as 1 that is the one u need to me renumber as the required number

Re: Problem - HP A7510 with IRF
Hi,
Thanks for suggestion but first you must read the information because I am writting about HP A7510 ( H3C S7510E).
They only support 2 switches for IRF.
HP ( H3C ) must fix that issues.
