Radius problem and IAS on 3Com 4400 SE
Hi all,
i need help about problem with Radius Authentication between 4400 Stackable and IAS Microsoft 2003 Server. On my 3com the latest firmware 6.13 is installed, the configuration on 4400 seems ok and too IAS, infact when i try to authenticate by username and password, i can't see any error messages on eventviewer on my Server 2003.
If you look the message on event viewer pasted below, the access is granted, but on web interface on 4400 or telnet, the answers are: login incorrect.
I need only authentication and not accounting neither authentication port security.
User disc0015 was granted access.
Fully-Qualified-User-Name = pippo.pluto.it/Disc
Administrators/DISC0015 - Name Surname
NAS-IP-Address = 192.168.101.126
NAS-Identifier = <not present>
Client-Friendly-Name = Test_3Com
Client-IP-Address = 192.168.101.126
Calling-Station-Identifier = 192.168.100.81
NAS-Port-Type = Virtual
NAS-Port = <not present>
Proxy-Policy-Name = all users
Authentication-Provider = Windows
Authentication-Server = <undetermined>
Policy-Name = 456
Authentication-Type = PAP
EAP-Type = <undetermined>
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
On 4400 the settings seems ok, i put the ip address of primary radius server, secret and udp port on standard Radius, but do not working.
If someone can help me...
Thanks
Pier

Did you configure the right attributes for the access-accept message of the RADIUS server (see 3kb14789)?
