Roving Analysis?

Greetings. We are trying to implement a network analysis program, called "Observer Standard." It requires port mirroring, or as 3Com calls it, "Roving Analysis." My understanding is that this allows the port I am monitoring to receive a copy of all the data packets from other ports.



We have 3Com 3870 switches, and I do not see a way to setup more than 1 port at a time for Roving Analysis. Obviously, we want to monitor the whole switch at once if we intend to analyze the whole network. Is this not possible? Or, am I going about things the wrong way? I am admittedly a novice at this, so all advice is appreciated. :)
