SFP+ modules
I am in the process of purchasing some A5800-48G switches.
I want to connect them using the SFP+ ports, but wanted to know if it's possible to use SFP transceiver in these ports.
These switches are not next to each other, they are quite a distance apart.
When I use the online configurator it does offer me the option of SFP transceiver, but someone says to me that you cannot use them?
Any ideas

Re: SFP+ modules
HP A5800-48G Switch with 2 Slots: 48 RJ-45 autosensing 10/100/1000 ports(IEEE 802.3 Type 10Base-T, IEEE 802.3u Type 100Base-TX, IEEE 802.3ab Type 1000Base-T), Duplex: 10Base-T/100Base-TX: half or full
1000Base-T: full only
2 extended module slots
1 open module slot
4 SFP fixed Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports
1 RJ-45 serial console port
the 4 SFP module is good for the Ethernet only, I don't think the module slot can accomodate SFP TX, but we can still search for the module slots

Re: SFP+ modules
The switch I have is 48 10/100/1000 ports and 4 SFP+ports, 1 slot.
It's the SFP+ port that I need to know if i can put an SFP transceiver in, according to the online configurator I can, well it offers me the option of placing a HP X125 1G SFP LC LH40 JD061A transceiver into one of the SFP+ slots.
If that works then I am good and can order the correct fibre.

Re: SFP+ modules
The SFP+ ports in A5800 series is dual 1/10G speed so yes, you can use 1G sfps for 1G operations.
