Switch 5500- Switch 1920

Hello HP support,

I've a connectivity problem, so i need your support.

I actually have 2 switches 5500 and 1910. And, I'm trying to connect them using an optical fiber.

For that purpose, For the 5500 hp switch:  I'm using  the SPF port with transceiver:  JD118B , and for the 1910 switch, i'm using the SFP port with transceiver: J4858C .

I don't know why there is no connectivity between the 2 switches, and i've also noticed that the SFP LED ports don't  turn on !

Need some help.

Updated firmware? Switch 1910 is POE? You can test the communication between 5500 + other HP switch model? Any specific error when you run a "display" on the interface?

The transceiver models should operate these switches ...

Swap the fibre ends around at one end of the fibre patch lead - you need for there to be a X in the patch lead so that RX at one end is connected to TX at the other end.

Be default the fiber ports of the 5500 are disabled, because they are combo ports. go to the switch and enable them.
