Switch 5500g EI - Disable internal traffic

Hi all,

I'm completely new to switches management. I would like to disable all the internal traffic generated from my 3COM switch. The scenario is a static LAN, that is, no new nodes are plugged dynamically. Furthermore, there is no outside traffic within the network (i.e. Internet). By now, I have disabled:

* STP BPDU

* Gratuitous ARP

* DHCP

But I keep seeing some traffic that I don't know exactly which is the origin (google doesn't find the answer)...

* Some common ARP request each 600 seconds. I have read some documentation but it doesn't refer to timeouts or so. Furthermore, my configuration has disabled the aging time as well.

* Some private protocol, whose ethertype is 0x88a7 and the destination address is always 01:80:c2:00:00:0a (reserved multicast address), generates a frame each 60 seconds.

Any suggestions about the purpose of those frames or how to disable them?

Cheers,

Hector

For reference: protocol type 0x88a7 appears to be ndp:

undo ndp enable.
