Re: Telnet Access

Thank you for this...

Is there any chance you have the configuration for enabling SSH as well?

The problem with Telnet is that in Putty I can never backspace when typing. In SSH you can. I would like to enable SSH if possible.

Re: Telnet Access

< Switch>system-view

rsa local-key-pair create

user-interface vty 0 4

authentication-mode scheme

protocol inbound ssh

quit

local-user shirin

password cipher 123454321

service-type ssh level 3

quit

ssh user shirin authentication-type password

This will allow u to ssh to the switch using authentication type password based (no rsa)

hope it helps!

Re: Telnet Access

Hello,

Some clarification on the following line:

ip address 152.67.205.25 255.255.255.224

is that the users(that wants access) IP address?

Thanks

Re: Telnet Access

Another question:

One of my customer is having an issue enabling this feature, He is claiming that the admin does not have the proper privileges to enable it.

Any ideas on how to grant that right to the user or am I just missing something?
