UP/DOWN
Hello
for several weeks, I have encountered a problem on my network with switch 5120.
the stations lose the network and it comes back on its own after several minutes.
I am attaching you a screen print of my switch. Do you have any ideas because currently I have no more ideas on the subject ...
Thank you

Re: UP/DOWN
Hi @Jvdv
By looking into logs , i could see strom control was acted due to multicast packet and some of MSTP messages as well.
Refer section Configuring storm suppression in below link for more information
https://techlibrary.hpe.com/device_help/H3C-Manuals/5120/5120-Configuration-Guide(R2215).pdf
It will be helpful if you share the exact time of the issue that can help , also share the firmware of the device

I don't understand when you say: "Refer section Configuring storm suppression in below link for more information"
Where can it be found ? I'm sorry I can't find it in the doc.
one last thing. yesterday I had the message ARP table full 256. I modified the default time from 20 min to 3 min by issuing the command: display arp timer aging 3
How to enlarge this ARP table. Does the command below mean that the ARP table is erased every 3 minutes?
Thanks for your help.

Re: UP/DOWN
Hi @Jvdv
As per logs interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1 is flapping continuously , can you tell me why this is happening ?
Refer PDF page 192 and serach with " Configuring storm suppression"
And query realated to ARP ,t he switch has capacity 256 ARP entries you cannot enlarge it.
arp timer aging 3 , says that how long switch keeps ARP in the table. If it not receive the response for 3 min means it will flush that ARP entry from its table.

Re: UP/DOWN
Hello
I am coming back to you regarding my problem.
My company has just called me back because peripherals and PCs are unable to connect to the network. Looking at the switch I have this alert again.
Oct 17 09:42:28 2021 SW_AVLCT_A %%10TPMB/4/ARP TABLE FULL(t): -DevIP=10.8.133.254; 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.38.1.2.4.1: ARP table is full and number of items is 256.
How do I correct the problem if I cannot enlarge the ARP table?
Thank you
