compatibility with 3com
hello,
i have a 3com 4200G connected by fiber with a Dell 5324, do you know if there any kind of incompatibility between the two switches???

As far as I know there is no problem when using these switches. Even when in aggregated mode, the Dell switches use the same protocols as 3Com does. You need to check the settings in the ports connected of each switch. The Dell Power Edge uses the same commands as Cisco, so if you are trying to setup a trunk between the switches, use the following commands:
In 3Com:
port link-type trunk
port trunk permit vlan all
port trunk pvid vlan <vlan_id>
In Cisco:
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan all
switchport trunk native vlan <vlan_id>
