importing HP Switch from the USA to the UK?

Hi,

Is there any reason for me not being able to purchase a HP switch from the usa and use it in the UK? 

Is the software/firmware the same etc?

Shouldn't have a problem with the switch or the software. I just brought a bunch of switches and routers over to the UK. The only real issue of course was paying all the VAT taxes to get through customs.  Thats the big disadvantage. Pay sales tax in the US then pay VAT tax on top of that going into the UK.

I've taken in and used A7506E's, A5800's, MSR30-20's, MSR20-20's, HSR6604X's, A6600's, etc...  Since I go into a data center, I'm using C13-C14 power cords. You'll of course need whatever works for you in your facility.
