mixing copper and fiber SFP+ ports on HP FF5700?

We have a couple of HP FF5700 32XGT 8XG 2QSFP+ switches that we'd like to connect to HPE 5900 switches.  If we'd choose to connect them using HP FlexNetwork X240 10G SFP+ to SFP+ Direct Attach Copper Cables, can we still use the other SFP+ ports for fiber?

Re: mixing copper and fiber SFP+ ports on HP FF5700?

Yes, you can.

The HPE FlexNetwork X240 10G SFP+ to SFP+ 5m Direct Attach Copper Cable (JG081C) is supported by the HPE FlexFabric 5700-32XGT-8XG-2QSFP+ Switch (JG898A) on its 8 (from port 33 to 40 [*]) SFP+ ports - concurrently with other *supported* SFP+ Transceivers/DACs installed on remaining free SFP+ ports. The HPE FlexNetwork X240 10G SFP+ to SFP+ 5m Direct Attach Copper Cable (JG081C) is also supported on the HPE FlexFabric 5900 Switch Series...so no worries, each SFP+ port owns its identity.

[*] worth to mention that those 8 SFP+ ports, exactly as happens on 32 1/10GbE copper ports, are grouped in groups of ports (that's a useful information if you then plan to bind some SFP+ ports to a logical IRF port, a step for IRF Stack deployment): port 33 to 36 form the first group of four, port from 37 to 40 form the second one. See HPE FlexFabric 5700 Switch Series Installation Guide.
