receive discards errors on Switch 5500G-EI cascade ports

Hello

Have a stack of 8 5500G

Am seeing lots of recieve discard errors on my cascade ports for example today so far have seen

32,066,766 on cascade port 4/2/2

have found that Receive Discards indicate that received packets could not be delivered to a high-layer protocol because of congestion or packet errors

The ports are 24gb cascade ports not even being utilised 30%

Is this a bug , a red herring , or any one seen this type of issue before

yesterday i read the command reference and i believe that i should ignore this errors on cascade ports.
