ssh connections to 5900 JC772A closed
Hey all.
I have a pair of switches that are not allowing us to ssh in reliably.
Occasionally we get a shell but then if we type a single character, the connection is killed. We don't have IPMI consoles set up. When we attach a serial cable the console is flooded with duplicate IP address messages.
The software is probably version 7.1.045 Release 2311P05, because that's the version on all the other JC772A we have. The dudes who set up these switches have long since left the company and left no notes.
What other data would it be useful for me to post here?
Thanks.

Re: ssh connections to 5900 JC772A closed
Hi
Let me check for the image 7.1.045 Release 2311P05 if there is any bug related to SSH and will get back to you.
Meanwhile can you please tell me any error message getting at the time of session closing.
Is this behaviour is with one device or multiple device.

IMHO it's worth to update (upgrade the actual R2311P05 to latest software version R2432P06 within the newer R24 software branch)...there were a lot of fixed SSH Client login failures related issues between the R2311P05 (2014/2015?) and the latest R2432P06 (2018). See relevant Release Notes here. Clearly only knowning the exact error messages and sanitized configuration it will be possible to guess what is the issue (if any).

That's another issue...but it will be interesting to see if the "duplicate IP address" involves the IP addressing reserved for the Switch Management via IP.

Hi Nougatta
It is recommded to upgrade the actual R2311P05 to latest software version R2432P06 within the newer R24 software branch)...there were a lot of fixed SSH Client login failures related issues between the R2311P05 (2014/2015?) and the latest R2432P06 (2018) as mentioned by parnassus.
For second issue related to duplicate IP address I will request you to lock a case with HPE as it require Troubleshooting.
