Hello,
recently we have recieved some topology change messages on our core switch (5900 IRF stack, stp enabled, mode RSTP).
Logbuffer: MSTP/6/MSTP_NOTIFIED_TC: Instance 0's port Bridge-Aggregation1 was notified of a topology change.
Access switches are 5500-HI IRF stacks (Release 5501P25), with static link-aggregations to the core switch.
We discovered, every time an access point, that is connected to our 5500-HI access switches goes down, a tc message is displayed. The port where the ap is connected is configured as an stp edge port.
When displaying stp config for the access point port, the stp edge doesn't seem to work.
Port Edged :Config=enabled / Active=disabled
Point-to-point :Config=auto / Active=true
Port Config:
interface GigabitEthernet2/0/15
port link-mode bridge
port link-type hybrid
port hybrid vlan 2070 2074 2214 tagged
broadcast-suppression pps 3000
undo jumboframe enable
stp edged-port enable
Setting stp point-to-point force false doesn't help.
The problem also occurs on our aruba 2530-Switches with the same stp config.
Access Points are WatchGuard AP300/200.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Marlon
