HPE SimpliVity 380 named CRN’s Hyperconverged Infrastructure Product of the Year!

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) SimpliVity 380 hyperconverged solution has been awarded CRN’s 2017 Product of the Year award in the hyperconverged infrastructure category! CRN chose 20 top technology categories from the IT industry to award Products of the Year and judging was done by those who work directly with the products to solve problems for their customers. HPE SimpliVity was chosen as the winner out of five product finalists. The award was based on how the solution was rated in terms of technology, revenue and profit opportunities, and customer demand.

HPE SimpliVity 380 powered by Intel® allows customers to streamline and enable IT operations at a fraction of the cost of traditional and public cloud solutions by combining IT infrastructure and advanced data services into a single, integrated all-flash solution. HPE SimpliVity 380 offers a full suite of traditional IT functions including WAN optimization, unified global VM-centric management, data protection, cloud integration, built-in backup, and disaster recovery.  

According to CRN: The offering is a "game-changer" in part thanks to "its ability to optimize data from the very first I/O," said Dan Molina, chief technology officer of San Diego-based Nth Generation Computing. "When the first byte of data gets created, it's already being optimized by using data compression and data deduplication. For many other products, that's an after-thought."
