HP secures a recent  win with the U.S. Department of Defense Manpower Data Center – to the tune of $548 million dollars.
Hardware, software, anytime, anywhere
A part of the U.S. Department of Defense, the DMDC is the “authoritative source of information on over 45 million people now and previously connected to [the] DoD.” HP has worked with the DMDC for more than 30 years, supporting IT programs that help manage DoD benefits, physical security, and data security, using the largest archive of personnel, manpower, training, security and financial data within the DoD.
The current win focuses on more than 1,100 types of software and hardware that HP will integrate, service, and maintain all over the world. That includes software such as the Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) and Noncombatant Tracking/Emergency Tracking Accountability System (NT/ETAS), as well as PCs, laptops, handhelds, servers, printers, cameras, and biometric devices like fingerprint scanners.
“Our people supporting DMDC are outstanding,” Account Executive Julie Kelly said. “For example, we needed volunteers to stay in country overseas to support the NT/ETAS system after U.S. citizens were being evacuated due to political instability or natural disasters.  Within hours, every member of our team volunteered to stay to help other U.S. citizens get to safety.  That is how we make it matter!”
