File library error

Hi,

I have a file library which has a repository made up of ten logical disks.  One of these disks is full and the others all have a lot of space.  When I try and start a backup to this library it always attempts to choose the full disk as a destination and fails with the error, "Cannot open device (Medium shadow file of distributed medium format is missing.)" after attempting to load an existing virtual tape.

The full text of the session is:

Can anyone explain what's happening?

Many thanks,

John

Re: File library error

Solved it.

It was a corrupt virtual tape file on the disk.  To get rid of it I used omnidownload to export the library info to a file and manually removed the offending filename from the text then used omniupload to pull the 'cleaned' config back in.

Re: File library error

Hi can you give more details on what you have done ?

The file i see in log is present on disk and with omnidownload I see two files try to remove both but this do not change.

Thanks
