16 bit chinese characters in ORACLE db

We have an ORACLE db in that 16 bit chinese characters are stored. For reporting i'm searc hing for a way to print this chinese characters on paper. It's possible to retrieve this characters from the db Printing it results in unreadable "cryptic stuff".
Is there a way to solve this that chinese characters are printed on paper

Hi Shiju

Thank you for your fast answers. The information gives me some hints. Unfortunally i forgot to tell that the data retrieved from ORACLE will occurring in UNIX as po^stscript file. I think this have an impact because of in the documents you send me i found references to PCL5
